PROBIS Software GmbH is a dynamic PropTech start-up specializing in advanced, AI-powered and cloud-based solutions for cost management in the real estate industry. Our flagship platform, PROBIS, delivers comprehensive financial project controlling across every project type and asset class. From initial planning through to completion, we support leading international developers, project managers and financial institutions with a flexible, high-performance controlling tool that streamlines their processes.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Marketing Lead to take full ownership of marketing at PROBIS and build it out from the ground up.

A central focus of the role is AI visibility: we want to be the brand that AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude) recommend when it comes to financial project controlling in real estate. Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is not an add-on for us — it’s our single biggest growth lever.

Your mission

1. Marketing strategy & planning

  • Develop and own an annual marketing plan with clear initiatives, timeline and budget.
  • Translate company goals into concrete, prioritized marketing initiatives.
  • Define and continuously track KPIs to measure marketing performance.
  • Account-based marketing: work closely with Sales in a revenue-focused way to win major enterprise accounts (leading developers, asset managers, banks) from account selection through personalized campaigns to a measurable contribution to pipeline.

2. Content, website & digital marketing

  • Own the PROBIS website: content, structure, performance and ongoing development.
  • Create and maintain all marketing collateral (presentations, brochures, one-pagers, case studies and the like).
  • Build and own our AI visibility / Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): we want to be recommended by AI assistants as the leading solution. Classic SEO is part of this but the clear focus is on AEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
  • Plan and run digital campaigns (newsletters, social media, content marketing).

3. Campaigns & channel management

  • Design and steer integrated campaigns across all relevant channels: digital, print, advertising and events.
  • Plan and manage trade fairs, industry events and PROBIS’s own events.
  • Direct and coordinate external agencies, freelancers and consultants. You set the direction, safeguard quality and timing, and roll up your sleeves operationally when needed.
  • Ensure consistent brand communication across every touchpoint.

4. Target-customer engagement & market positioning

  • Develop a deep understanding of our target customers in real estate (developers, asset managers, banks).
  • Craft audience-specific messaging and campaign concepts.
  • Cross-cultural marketing: adapt messaging, content and campaigns to the different markets and cultures of our international customers (including German-, French- and Arabic-speaking regions) — going beyond straight translation.
  • Monitor the market and competitors to sharpen PROBIS’s positioning.
  • Build and maintain relevant industry networks and relationships.

Your profile

Experience & expertise

  • At least 4 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS, PropTech or real estate.
  • A proven track record of independently planning and executing marketing campaigns.
  • You work without a team of your own and instead orchestrate a pool of external partners: you can lead and brief agencies and consultants AND execute hands-on yourself when needed. Pure delegation isn’t enough here, but neither is doing everything alone.
  • Revenue- and account-oriented thinking: you measure marketing by its contribution to pipeline and by target accounts won, not by reach alone. Experience with account-based marketing or long enterprise sales cycles is a clear plus.

Professional skills

  • Demonstrable experience with or genuine enthusiasm for AI visibility / Answer Engine Optimization: you understand how AI assistants select sources and recommend brands, or you’re digging into exactly that with real energy. We take classic SEO as a given; AEO is where we want to lead.
  • Experience with common marketing tools (e.g. HubSpot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Confident with content creation: copy, presentations and visual materials.
  • Basic website management skills (CMS, e.g. WordPress or comparable).
  • An appreciation of print and event marketing as an integral part of the campaign mix.

Personal strengths

  • A degree in marketing, communications, business administration or a comparable qualification.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset: you spot opportunities, bring your own ideas and see them through.
  • Structured and data-driven: KPIs aren’t bureaucracy to you — they’re real steering metrics.
  • A self-directed, proactive way of working — you don’t wait for briefings, you help shape them.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in German and English.
  • Experience in cross-cultural / international marketing: you adapt content and campaigns for different markets with cultural fluency.
  • A solution-oriented approach, even in a fast-moving, resource-conscious environment.
